Q&A with Michael

What do you enjoy most about your work?

The most enjoyable or rewarding part of my work is to have the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. It might not necessarily be performing an operation but to be able to listen to patient's stories and care for them makes my job worthwhile.

What is most important to you when caring for patients?

The most important part to me about caring for a patient is to ensure that the patients feel that they are listened to and their expectations are met. I am here to care for them and help them - That's what's driving my practice.

What areas of care are you particularly focused on?

I am interested in illnesses involving the liver/pancreas and also gallbladders/herniae.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family and young daughter - To be able to take my daughter to her activities and spend time with her is something I cherish while she is still young and enjoys my company!
