Biography

I am an experienced general surgeon with subspecialisation training in liver, pancreas, bile duct and gallbladder surgery. I am the only surgeon in New Zealand that has completed formal post-Fellowship subspecialisation training in both liver/pancreas/biliary surgery and kidney transplant surgery.

I obtained my qualification in General Surgery (FRACS) before embarking on further sub-specialisation training in HPB (liver, pancreas, bile duct surgery) and Kidney Transplant Surgery at Auckland City Hospital and Westmead Hospital (Sydney).

Throughout my training, I acquired proficiency in a range of surgical techniques, including open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery. The surgical approach will be tailored to provide the best outcome for my patient’s specific needs.

My commitment is to deliver compassionate, holistic and quality patient-centred surgical care to my patients, especially in the management of upper gastrointestinal tract cancers.
